Robert S. McCaw is a government affairs and grassroots advocacy professional with five years’experience conducting outreach to members of Congress, the White House, federal and state agencies, and coordinating grassroots campaigns. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and is certified in public affairs.

As the Government Affairs Coordinator for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, Mr. McCaw actively monitors congressional and federal activities that affect Muslims and works to ensure that the Muslim community is being represented to policy makers. He is responsible for promoting CAIR’s legislative action alerts and fact sheets, submitting testimony to Congress, sponsoring activities designed to bring Muslim concerns to the government, and coordinating CAIR’s national and state election activities. He is also responsible for encouraging Muslim participation in networks and coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Prior to joining CAIR, Mr. McCaw served as a Government Affairs Associate at the American Waterways Operators (AWO), the national trade association for the U.S. tugboat, towboat and barge industry.
